Hi, my name is Seth Benevento and I had the pleasure of joining the ABLE Industries team in February 2019 as the executive director. Previously, I was President of ServiceMaster by Benevento. As a restoration business, we would provide restoration services to property owners that had water, fire, or mold damage. Our mission was to “restore order to chaos with compassion”. My 11 years at ServiceMaster developed my business acumen in conjunction with finalizing my Master’s in Business Administration this May. I also have experience working with non-profit organizations on multiple levels. My longest stint was working at Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County as a refugee resettlement manager. There I assisted refugees finding employment, housing, transportation needs, acculturation, etc. On the other spectrum of my non-profit experience, I was on the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County for four years. ABLE Industries is a good combination of business as well as non-profit work and I really like that aspect.
On a personal side, I have been married to my beautiful wife for eight years and we have three amazing boys that keep us very busy. We enjoy traveling together, going to Giants games, swimming in the summer, and being active with sports. I have lived in Visalia since I was three years old. I have walked the halls of Mt. Whitney High School and went on many date nights with my wife on Main Street. I have seen the ups and downs of where this city has been and where I believe it can grow. One of those areas is through ABLE Industries continuing to build relationships with local businesses that will drive ABLE’s mission, “Improve the lives of people with disabilities by creating opportunities to maximize their independence.” My grandfather always said, “If you give to the community you love, they will give back to you.”
My time here at ABLE has gone quick but I continue to learn and am impressed with the employees that continue to live ABLE’s mission through its core values, which are; Uphold Ethical Standards, Value Persons Served, Empowered Teamwork, Ensure Service Quality, Provide Customer Service, Respect Diversity, and Foster Innovation. Through the direction of the board and the teamwork of ABLE’s employees, I am excited about the future of ABLE Industries.
